What diet should I follow when taking Ketone-IQ®?

When you take Ketone-IQ®, you do not need to change your diet in order to elevate your blood ketone levels. This means that athletes can fuel as normal with carbohydrates and also have ketones as an extra energy source for training, competition, and recovery.

If you don’t normally follow a keto diet and are drinking ketones to boost endurance performance, we recommend taking Ketone-IQ® alongside your standard pre-workout meal. Make sure to include adequate carbohydrates for optimal results.

If you are using Ketone-IQ® to help recover from a workout, then include a source of carbohydrates (2 g/kg) and protein (0.3 g/kg) to maximize your recovery.

If you normally follow a keto diet, you do not need to take carbs to get energy from Ketone-IQ®.

In order to maximize potential benefits, we recommend that you modify your diet and lifestyle where possible:

  • Reduce your consumption of refined carbohydrates
  • Increase the amount of energy coming from healthy fats in your diet
  • Ensure you are properly hydrated
  • Try to increase your physical activity where possible
